Jesus; the answer to Iniquity!

Question: Is there a secret in Mark 8:1-9?

Jesus, in His first Advent, came only to the “lost sheep of Israel” (Matt. 15:24)!  That was in fulfilment of Prophecy in Isa. 9:6, Micah 5:2, Matt. 2:4-6, which are only 3 of many!

He was at pains to emphasize that He came to confirm the “Law and the Prophets”, (Matt. 5:17) not to destroy them!

He also stated clearly, that, “had you been able, John can be as Elijah” (Matt.11:14); which, had Israel been able to receive that, Jesus would have descended to Earth after His resurrection from the dead; which would have confirmed His teaching, that it would have happened shortly after His comments.  As it is well known, He was rejected by the Jews; and at Acts 28:25–28, the Jews were made “Lo-Ammi” (not My people) Isa.6:9–10; which condition will remain until Zech.12:10; after which the prophecy of Ezek.39:21–29 will apply!

Even though Almighty God knew the decision the Jews would make, for the veracity of “free-will”, and its importance to the whole warfare between Him and Satan, the decision had to be Israel’s at the Sanhedrin level!  When the Isa. 6:9-10 Prophecy was enacted by Paul, the prime object became the Gentiles of the world; which will end at Zech. 12:10!

Jesus just prior to His execution inaugurated the second (New) Covenant, which confirmed Him as the only way to God the Father (John 14:6) and (Matt. 26:26-28); which apples to Gentiles and Jews, but, the Jews labour under the same Vail over their understanding, which was placed by God when Moses spoke, and was confirmed as still in place at Acts 28:28; and will not be removed for Israel until Christ's Jesus’ second Advent!

It is notable that Jesus during His first earthly walk, did all the evidential Miracles that had been prophesied by the prophets of the Old Testament (Covenant), healing people, even raising Lazarus from the dead after delaying His journey to ensure that more than 3 days had passed before arriving at the home of Lazarus!

In your question above, that is another of the spectacular Evidential Miracles, the feeding of the four thousand; and it can be said with confidence that they would certainly have been mostly Jewish people, who would not miss the marvel of the event, and who had stayed with Jesus for 3 day without refreshment!

On one such occasion, the Scribes and the Pharisees asked for a “sign” from Him, that would help convince them.  But Jesus knew their hearts (Matt,12:38–40) and gave them the sign of the prophet Jonah only, again emphasising the first Covenant!

In your question is a similar emphasis, which those people listening to Jesus would in the future of their lives carry to the world!
